Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month – February 2026

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM), a time to raise awareness about healthy relationships and support prevention efforts for teens and young people across Wyoming.
Teen dating violence does not always look like physical harm. It often begins with controlling behaviors, digital monitoring, pressure, or coercion. Early awareness and prevention are critical, especially in rural communities where isolation and access to resources can create additional barriers.
WCADVSA is sharing ready-made resources and simple ways for programs, schools, and communities to participate throughout the month.
Easy Ways to Participate
You do not need to create new programming or materials to participate in TDVAM. Even one small action can help reinforce prevention and healthy relationship messaging.
Ways to participate include:
Sharing ready-made social media posts
Encouraging staff to wear orange during Respect Week
Highlighting resources for teens, parents, and educators
Sharing local events or media coverage so we can help amplify your work
Ready-Made Resources from Love Is Respect
Love Is Respect has created a collection of plug-and-play TDVAM resources that can be used as-is or lightly adapted.
These include:
A TDVAM Action Guide with simple prevention ideas
A Social Media Toolkit with graphics and captions
A TDVAM Content Calendar with daily and weekly themes
These materials are designed to reduce workload while supporting consistent, survivor-centered messaging.
